She met Anirudh Sharma, an online content creator and singer, through social media. Initially, they started texting each other and became friends, and soon, they fell in love with each other. In an interview, Mrunal talked about contacting Anirudh for the first time. She said,
When I came across Anirudh’s profile, I loved his feed – it was so aesthetic. I messaged him-or slid into his DMs if you will! He replied with a ‘Hi’ instantly and we began chatting. We’re both content creators, so when Anirudh suggested we do a TikTok Duet video, I was game. It was making a TikTok video together, from different continents, that made the two millennials realise how much they liked each other. So, very soon, their texting turned into virtual dates. That night, I told him I loved him…and he did too.”

She further said that for her, Anirudh left Canada and returned to India. When they started talking, Anirudh was in Canada, while Mrunal was in India, and after chatting for almost three months, they met in person.

Career
On 14 December 2018, she started her YouTube channel ‘Gujju Unicorn’ in which she uploaded makeup videos that gained immense popularity. She has uploaded various makeup videos, vlogs, and challenge videos on her channel, which have thousands of views. As of September 2021, she has 726K subscribers on her YouTube channel.
She then started making comic and lip-sync videos on TikTok. Soon, she started getting millions of views on her videos and became one of the popular TikTokers in India. After the ban of TikTok in India in 2020, she started making Instagram reels on her unique makeup looks and lip-sync videos.
