Controversy

In 2019, he was accused by the Punjabi singer Dilraj Grewal of stealing his song ‘Verified Jatt.’ Dilraj uploaded an old video of ‘Verified Jatt’ in which he was singing the song. As soon as the video was uploaded, his fans and management team started accusing Manni of using Dilraj’s song. Dilraj even sent a legal notice to Manni for copying his other songs as well. [3]Ghaint Punjab Later, Manni clarified the matter through an Instagram video in which he said,

The song is owned by Sangra Vibes who wrote it and recorded a guide vocal for the song over 2 years ago for which I still have the date stamped files. I had invested 20 lakhs in Dilraj which turned dead money since the legal notice was received. I recorded 3 songs with Dilraj, flew him to the UK, paid for studio time all of which is now gone down the drain. Once the legal notice had been sent, the song ‘Verified Jatt’ rolled back to the original owner – Sangra Vibes.”
