Ibrahim Zadran was born on Wednesday, 12 December 2001 (age 22 years; as of 2023) in Khost, Afghanistan. His zodiac sign is Sagittarius.
He became interested in cricket after watching his uncle, Noor Ali Zadran, score a fifty against India in the 2010 T20I World Cup held in West Indies. He trained at his uncle’s cricket academy at his 2000 sq. meter family farm in Khost along with his cousins and another Afghanistani player, Mujeeb Ur Rahman. He later became a professional cricketer.

Ibrahim Zadran made his List A (one day) debut for the Mis Ainak Region on 11 August 2017 against the Band-e-Amir Region in the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament and scored 32 runs and gave 17 runs in 2 overs without any wickets. He debuted in T20s for the Mis Ainak Region on 12 September 2017 against the Band-e-Amir Region in the Shpageeza Cricket League and conceded 8 runs in one over without any wickets.
He played his first-class match for Band-e-Amir Region on 1 March 2018 against Amo Region in the Alokozay Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament and scored 9 runs and 16 runs in the first and second innings respectively. He has also played for Khost Under-16s, Khost Under-17s, Pamir Stars, Amo Sharks, Band-e-Amir Dragons, Kabul Eagles, and Hindukush Strikers.

He emerged as the highest runscorer for the Afghanistan Under-19 team with 186 runs during the 2018 Under-19 World Cup and 240 runs in the 2020 Under-19 World Cup. He played for the Afghanistan Under-23 team in the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.

Ibrahim Zadran made his test debut on 5 September 2019 against Bangladesh in Chittagong, Bangladesh and scored 21 runs in the first innings and 87 runs in the second innings, making his maiden test fifty.

Dedicating MoM award to Afghan refugees
After winning the match against Pakistan in the 2023 ODI World Cup, he was given the Man of the Match award for his knock of 87 runs. During the presentation, he dedicated the award to the Afghani refugees living in Pakistan who had been ordered to go back to Afghanistan which caused rage among the Pakistani people who criticised him for his action and accused him of backstabbing them. - His batting style is right-handed, and his bowling style is right-arm medium-fast. He mostly plays as an opener.
