Litton Kumer Das was born on Wednesday, 16 February 1994 (age 28 years; as of 2022) in Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Bangladesh. His zodiac sign is Aquarius. He studied at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP). Later, he studied at American International University, Bangladesh. He used to play with a tennis ball in his hometown. His elder brother used to play cricket under the coach Abu Samad Mithu, and he used to see the players play matches. He gradually developed an interest in cricket and started training under Abu.

He started playing for the Rajshahi division in the Under-13 team in 2006. He played for Rangpur Division in First Class cricket in 2011. In the 2012-2013 season, he scored a century and a half-century. In the 2014 Under-19 World Cup, he scored 239 runs in 4 matches. He also played for Under-15 and Under-23 teams. In the 2016-2017 season, he scored 752 runs in 14 matches, which was the highest number of runs by any player in that season.

He played his debut test match on 10 June 2015 against India at Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah, Bangladesh. He scored his first test half-century in his second test match when he scored 50 runs against South Africa. In 2017, he scored 70 runs in a test match against South Africa. In 2018, he scored 94 runs against Sri Lanka. In 2021, he scored his first test century with a score of 114 runs in a match against Pakistan at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong, Bangladesh. In January 2022, he scored 102 runs in a match against New Zealand at Hagley Oval, Christchurch, New Zealand. In May 2022, he scored 141 runs against Sri Lanka.

Injury
In November 2019, he suffered a concussion in a test match against India held at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, India. He was hit on the head by a bouncer bowled by Mohammed Shami of India. After the MRI scan, it was found to be a two-grade muscle strain. He recovered in 3-4 weeks.

Exchange of words with Sri Lankan player Lahiru Kumara
During the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup, in a match against Sri Lanka, Lahiru Kumara of Sri Lanka dismissed Litton and walked towards him, hurling some abuses. Litton reacted by hurling some abuses back at him. They were later separated by their fellow players and umpires. Litton was fined 15% of his match fee along with 1 demerit point for breaching Article 2.20 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game.’ [4]ICC
