Goldie Sohel and Asees Kaur knew each other for seven years before their marriage. In an interview, Asees revealed an interesting fact about their love story and said that she fell in love with Goldie Sohel when they were working together on the song ‘I Don’t Give A’ in 2022. While talking about this in the interview, she said,

Career

After forming the music band ‘Sukoon,’ he released his first song ‘Door Naa Jaa’ in 2013 on his YouTube channel ‘Goldie Sohel.’ He made his debut as a Bollywood playback singer with the song ‘Maula Maula’ in the film ‘Mumbai Can Dance Saala’ (2015). [3]Facebook – Goldie Sohel In 2018, he sang his first Assamese song ‘Ulahe Abore’ for the Assamese film ‘The Underworld.’ It was a collaborative work with the Assamese singers Kaveri Singh, Parineeta Borthakur, and Zubeen Garg. In September 2019, he worked as a music composer and producer for the music video ‘Kisi Aur Naal.’ He rose to fame after he released the acoustic version of the song, which was sung by Goldie Sohel himself.

He sang the song ‘Baat Nahi Karni’ along with Asees Kaur in May 2020. In the same year, he sang the song ‘Neet Ve’ for the film ‘Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare,’ along with the singer Arjuna Harjai and Geet Sagar. He collaborated with the popular singer Vishal Dadlani for the video song ‘Kareeb’ (2021) in which he worked as a music composer. In 2022, he produced and composed the music for the song ‘Bairiya.’ The song was sung by Bollywood playback singer Arijit Singh

Facts/Trivia

  • He belongs to a family of musicians and has a keen interest in music since he was a child. In an interview, he revealed that earlier he did not have any plan to pursue a career in music. However, as he later started performing music in his college, his interest in music developed which ultimately led him to choose a career in it.
  • In an interview, he revealed that he did not take any formal training to learn music. In the same interview, he revealed that he learnt to play the guitar by himself when he was in 8th standard.
  • While studying in college, he formed a music band named ‘Sukoon’ in which he worked as a guitarist, vocalist, performer, and songwriter.
  • In 2015, he got nominated for the Best Singer Award at Rajasthan Film Festival (RFF) for the Rajasthani song ‘Maro Badlo.’
