Eksha Kerung was born in the year 2000 (age 21 years; as of 2021) in Sombaria village of Sikkim, India. She attended a local School in Sombaria for her primary and secondary education. Later, Eksha got herself enrolled at the NSS Nar Bahadur Bhandari Degree College situated in Tadong, Gangtok to pursue her higher education. Eksha had an interest in acting and modelling since childhood.

As a police officer
Eksha Kerung, after completing her formal education, at the age of 19 joined Sikkim Police. She underwent vigorous training for almost 14 months after which she was selected to join the Anti Riot Force of Sikkim Police.

As a model
Eksha Kerung was fond of acting and modelling since childhood. She used to participate in several modelling and fancy dress competition during her school days and also won many of them. Eksha won the title of Miss Freshers at her college freshers event.

Being a police officer and fulfilling a dream of becoming a model was not an easy task for her. One of the very first and major opportunities came her way when she got the opportunity to represent her village, Sombaria, at the state level modelling competition and won the title of Miss Sikkim 2018. Winning a state-level modelling competition boosted her confidence and thereafter, she participated in a number of modelling competitions.
