Arshdeep Singh was born on Friday, 5 February 1999 (age 24 years; as of 2023) in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, India. His zodiac sign is Aquarius. Arshdeep went to Guru Nanak Public School in Chandigarh, and in 2015, he joined the Indian cricketer and coach Jaswant Rai’s cricket academy. After completing his schooling, Arshdeep started pursuing cricket full-time. He currently lives in Kharar, Punjab.

T20I

Arshdeep Singh started his career by playing in the 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, held in New Zealand from 13 February until 3 February 2018. India won the World Cup by 8 wickets. Arshdeep had an average of 6.66 in the Under-19 World Cup. Arshdeep was also part of the CK Nayudu Trophy where he played against Rajasthan and took 8 wickets and a hat-trick, which made him gain more recognition. Arshdeep Singh was counted in 2019’s ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup but was later replaced by Shivam Mavi.

List A

Arshdeep made his List A match debut in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match held in Alur, Andhra Pradesh on 19 September 2018 in which he took two wickets against Himachal Pradesh. Arshdeep’s great performance got him the opportunity to play in the Ranji Trophy, held in Nagpur from 25 December 2019 to 28 December 2019. Arshdeep took 7 wickets in the List A match of The NKP Salve Challenger Trophy in 2017.

Indian Premier League (IPL)

Arshdeep’s wonderful performances at the junior level resulted in his IPL selection for the 2019 season. In 2018, at the IPL auctions held in Jaipur, he was selected for the base price of Rs. 20 lakhs in the team Kings XI Punjab as a bowler. On 16 April 2019, Arshdeep played his IPL debut match in Mohali against Rajasthan Royals in which he picked 2 wickets of Jos Buttler and Ajinkya Rahane. Arshdeep Singh had a bowling average of 36.33 in the IPL season 2019. Arshdeep was the second-highest wicket-taker during the entire 2019 season.

T20I

Arshdeep Singh was selected for 2022’s Twenty20 International Indian squad for a series against South Africa and a two-match series against Ireland. In June 2022, Arshdeep was selected for the India team squad for the England Tour and made his T20I debut on 7 July 2022, playing against England in Southampton. Arshdeep took 2 final wickets of England in his debut match. Arshdeep Singh was also part of the Indian squad that toured to West Indies in 2022, where he took 7 wickets and won the ‘Man of the Series’ award and made highlights in his T20I career. Arshdeep Singh was part of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, held in Australia, where he took a total of 10 wickets in the entire series with a bowling average of 15.60 and the economy average of 7.80, making him the ‘leading wicket-taker’ [2]Punjab Kings.
