Arjun P. A. or Arjun Palliparambil Ashokan was born on Monday, 24 August 1993 (age 30 years; as of 2023) in Kochi, Kerala, India. His zodiac sign is Virgo.

He completed his school education at Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Kochi, Kerala. Arjun pursued a B.Com degree from a college in Thuravoor, Cherthala of Alappuzha district, Kerala, which he did not complete. He worked as a Disc Jockey, under the name DJ Arjun Ash, during his college days and then ventured into business before becoming active in the film industry.

Arjun Ashokan is the son of actor and director, Harisree Ashokan and Preetha, a homemaker. Arjun Ashokan got married to Nikita Ganeshan on 2 December 2018.

Nikita is an entrepreneur, who cofounded an event-organizing company, Triangle Co. She is also the curator and founder of a jewellery brand, Silver Sea and a clothing brand, The Rare Edits. They have a daughter, Anvi A. Ashok.

Film

Arjun Ashokan’s debut film is Orkut Oru Ormakoot (2012), directed by Manoj Vinod. His character, Ganeshan, plays a supporting role, in a youth-centric story. The film did not do well commercially.

His next film To Let Ambadi Talkies (2014) also failed commercially. His career took the right turn with the character Hakeem, in the film Parava (2017), directed by Soubin Shaheer. The film and the actors won a lot of acclaim and it was a commercial success.

His character Jacob in his next film, Varathan (2018), directed by Amal Neerad, showcased him in a negative role. His portrayal of the character won him a lot of acclaim. His character, Azad, in the film B. Tech (2018), written and directed by Mridul Nair, plays a pivotal role in the storyline. The film Mandharam released in 2018, had Arjun Ashokan play a supporting character to the lead role played by Asif Ali.

The year 2019 had Arjun Ashokan portray the character Sujith in the film Stand Up, a frog catcher in the film Under World, a minor character in the film Ambili, a police constable Gireesh T. P. in the film Unda, a photographer in the film An International Local Story, and Anand in the film June. His character in the film June was well-received by the audience. The year 2020 had him in a supporting role in the film Trance, directed by Anwar Rasheed.

Arjun Ashokan’s first film in the lead role is the character Sanjay in Wolf (2021).

 

This film was followed by the film Jan.E.Man, directed by Chidambaram, in which he portrays a young man Sambath, one of the main characters in the storyline.

The next release was Madhuram, a light-hearted romantic drama, in which his character, Kevin, is one of the important roles. The next film was an action thriller, Ajagajantharam, directed by Tinu Pappachan, in which Arjun portrays an unemployed, brash youth named Kannan.

His character Deepu, a young lover, in the film Super Sharanya (2022) fetched him a lot of acclaim. His other releases in the year 2022 were the lead role in the film Member Rameshan 9aam Ward, Kaduva, Malayan Kunju, and Thattassery Koottam.

 

The character Sinu in the film Romancham (2023) was a huge hit among the audience. The character Suraj in the film Pranaya Vilasam (2023) also did well at the box office. It was followed by Thuramukham (2023), Thrishanku (2023), Theeppori Benny (2023), Chaaver (2023), and Otta (2023).

Business

Arjun Ashokan, in partnership, owns a car wash business, called Car Bath, in Panampilly Nagar, Kochi, Kerala. He is also a partner in a construction company and a packet food factory.

Awards
