Ajit Pawar was born as ‘Ajit Pandurang Pawar’ ^[1]Telugu Titans on Sunday, 10 February 2002 (age 22 years; as of 2024) in the village of Nipani Vadgaon in Ahmednagar district, Maharashtra, India. His zodiac sign is Aquarius.

Career

In 2022, Ajit Pawar was selected by the team ‘Periyar Panthers’ in Krantijyot Mahila Pratishtan Yuva Kabaddi Series (Mens), an inter-district youth league, in which he played at the defender position.

In 2023, Ajit was bought by the team ‘Telugu Titans’ for Rupees 9 lakhs to play in the Pro Kabaddi League, held in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune. He served as the left cover and a defender in the league.

Facts/Trivia

• Ajit Pawar got inclined towards Kabaddi and started playing at the tender age of 14. In an interview, while describing his initial days as a Kabaddi player, he said,
  

  When I decided to take Kabaddi seriously, I did not have a proper kit. I somehow managed to buy shorts worth Rs. 30 from the bazaar and coupled it with my usual T-shirt.”

• Ajit considers Kabaddi player Shrikant Jadhav his biggest inspiration.

• Ajit had a few friends who were already playing Kabaddi, and they suggested Ajit to join a Kabaddi club named Azad Krida Mandal in the district of Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. The club gave Ajit a lot of exposure in terms of district-level tournaments and open tournaments. 
  

• In 2022, Ajit won the ‘Best Defender of the Season’ award in the Krantijyot Mahila Pratishtan Yuva Kabaddi Series (Mens), representing the team ‘Periyar Panthers.’
