Alekhya Harika is an Indian actress and a YouTube star who mainly works in the Telugu film industry. She is best known for her comedy web series, “Dhethadi.” She is one of the contestants of the reality TV show, “Bigg Boss Telugu 4.”

Alekhya developed a great interest in dance at a very young age. She did her BBA from St Ann’s College, Mehdipatnam. After completing her graduation, Alekhya started working at Amazon Development Center in Hyderabad. In 2018, Harika left Amazon; as she wanted to make a career in dance.

Career
Alekhya started her career as an actress in 2018 by featuring in the short film, “Viva.” She, then, featured in Tamada Media’s web series, “Chitram Vichitram.” Next, she bagged a lead role in a web series of the YouTube channel, “Dhethadi.” The series was a huge hit and earned Alekhya popularity. Subsequently, she appeared in the YouTube video, “Frustrated Telangana Pilla” which received more than 1.8 million views.
In 2019, Alekhya featured in the Tamil film, “Adithya Varma.” In 2020, she appeared as a contestant on the game reality show, “Bigg Boss Telugu 4.”

- Harika’s entry into YouTube videos happened by chance. She shared during an interview that once when she was chilling with her friends, one of them suggested her to try her luck in short films. On her friend’s advice, Alekhya auditioned for a short film and got selected to play a role in YouTube channel, “Dethadi’s” web series.

The moment, the director said, ‘Roll Action Camera, I just stood and watched the opposite person. I didn’t know what to do when they said that’, I was petrified when I started the shoot. It was only with the support and encouragement of my mother that I became the star today.”
