Career
Adarsh Singh started shooting at a very young age. He has participated and won many domestic and international shooting championships. In 2018, Adarsh made his international debut in the 10 m air pistol men’s event and 25 m rapid fire pistol men’s event at the ISSF Junior World Cup held in Sydney, where he won a bronze and a silver, respectively. In 2019, he earned two gold and a silver at the ISSF Junior World Cup held in Suhl, Germany. In 2023, Adarsh Singh represented India at the 19th Asian Games (2022) held in Hangzhou, China. He won a bronze medal for shooting in the men’s 25 m rapid-fire pistol team event along with his teammates Anish Bhanwala and Vijayveer Sidhu.

Facts/Trivia
- Initially, Adarsh had a keen interest in playing Cricket and Badminton. Due to his childhood ailments, he couldn’t pursue a physically tough sport and, therefore, he chose shooting. In an interview, Adarsh discussed his difficult journey and how his elder sister inspired him to pursue shooting. He said,
It’s been a tough journey for me since my birth. The lower back injury never allowed me to pursue my passion in cricket or badminton. As I started growing older, I found out that I couldn’t play physically tough sports. So I chose shooting. It helped that my elder sister Riya Singh – also a national-level shooter was pursuing shooting and she introduced me to the sport.
