Career

In 2015, he debuted as an actor in the Hindi TV serial ‘Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan’ as Shubhod “Shubho” Ghosh.

In the same year, he appeared in the Sony TV serial ‘Parvarrish – Season 2’ in which he played the role of Jhonty Sharma. He gained immense popularity with his role as Aryan Khanna in the popular Hindi TV serial ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ from 2019 to 2021.

In 2021, he was roped in the TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss OTT.’ In an interview, he shared how he felt about being selected in Bigg Boss OTT. He said,

My first reaction was like one of my co-stars is trying to prank me, because I was like it is not possible. It is not possible where I would randomly get a call and they would be like we are considering you for Bigg Boss and would you be interested. I really thought my co-stars are trying to prank me and I was literally about to tell them that guys come on, nice job. But thank God I didn’t do that and I went along with it. Eventually, I realised that this isn’t a prank and this is actually happening.”

He then appeared in the digital reality show “Lock Up” (2022). He then acted in the TV show ‘Naagin 6.’

Controversy

In 2021, his YouTube video went viral in which he was seen boarding a flight in a bathrobe. He received a huge backlash from the netizens for this act. ^[2]The Times of India In an interview, while talking about the hate comments, he said,

There were people who called me cheap and shameless, but I was wearing clothes inside my bathrobe! There were so many hate comments about me not respecting airport rules. I don’t know why. Aren’t there people who make funny videos?”

 

Later, when he was asked why he did so, he replied,

It was just for fun. I keep creating these funny videos to entertain my fans and that was a part of it. While some took it sportingly many didn’t understand the joke at all. If Ranveer Singh would have done it then people wouldn’t have sent those hate comments. I thought I should do something which will make people laugh.
