Tarun Arora is an Indian actor and model who came into the limelight after playing the role of Geet’s annoying lover, Anshuman, in the Hindi film ‘Jab We met’ (2007).

Tarun tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Anjala Zavery, who is an Indian actress and model. Before getting married, they dated for ten years.
In February 2011, he became the co-owner of a Goan-themed lounge bar “Love Shack” in Bangalore along with his brother, Himesh Arora.
Earlier, Tarun Arora and his brother Himesh Arora co-owned a North-Indian restaurant named Tandoori Hippie in Bangalore, which was later shut down.
In 1999, Tarun made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi’ in which he made a special appearance. In 2004, he appeared in three Hindi films Hawas, Sheen, and 19 Revolutions, which were low-budget films. In 2007, he appeared in Imtiaz Ali‘s film Jab We Met in which he played the role of Anshuman, the lover of Geet (played by Kareena Kapoor). In this film, Anshuman’s dialogue which gained the audience’s attention was,
..kyu dekhu main ganne ke khet? kya khaas baat hai ganne ke khet mein? nahi dekhne mujhe ganne ke khet!” (why should I watch sugarcane fields? what is s o special about sugarcane field? I don’t want to see sugarcane fields!”)

In 2016, he made his Tamil debut with the film ‘Kanithan’ in which he played the role of a fake certificate scam kingpin named Thura Sarkar. He garnered appreciation for his performance in this film.
Tarun continued appearing in Tamil films like ‘Kaththi Sandai’ (2016) as Tamizhselvan’s accomplice, ‘Kanchana 3’ (2013) as minister Shankar, and ‘Dagaalty’ (2020) as Vijay Samrat.
In 2017, Tarun made his Telugu debut with the action-drama film ‘Khaidi No. 150’ film in which he played the antagonist named Aggarwal.
Later, Tarun appeared in many Telugu films such as ‘Katamarayudu’ (2017), ‘Jaya Janaki Nayaka’ (2017), ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ (2018), ‘Arjun Suravaram’ (2019), and ‘Seetimaarr’ (2021).
In 2011, he made his Assamese debut with the film ‘Poley Poley Urey Mon’ in which he played the role of Amit Agarwal.
In 2004, he appeared in the music video for the Punjabi song Dil Chori Sada Ho Gaya.
Later, he appeared in a Hindi song titled ‘Teri Berukhi’ from the album “Forget Me Not” by Jagjit Singh.
In 1998, he won the Gladrags Manhunt contest. Later, Tarun took up modelling as a career and walked the ramp for several designers. He has also worked in several advertisements for many popular brands including Raymond, Westside, Kwality Walls, McDowell’s, and LG.
He has been featured on the cover of many fashion magazines such as Elle.
He owns a Triumph Street Twin motorcycle.
