Sreeleela was born on Saturday, 14 July 2001 (age 22 years; as of 2023) in Detroit city in Michigan, United States of America. Her zodiac sign is Cancer. Later, she moved to Bangalore, Karnataka, India, with her family. At the age of 3, she began practising Bharatanatyam and had her Arangetram (a debut on-stage performance of a former student of Indian classical dance) when she turned eight.

After schooling, she pursued an MBBS degree at a medical college in Bangalore. While pursuing her graduation, she started acting and appeared in films. According to Sreeleela, she always aspired to be a doctor and never thought she would be an actress. In an interview, she said,

I hadn’t thought of being anything other than a doctor, this career move has come as a big surprise even to me. It is all in the mind and I want to get ahead in my life, Of course, a few people who were close to me and my family did say that I should not get into the industry this young. But my mind was made up and I was confident that I could act and study well at the same time. Sreeleela’s mother, Swarnalatha, is a gynaecologist, who was married to an industrialist named Surapaneni Subhakara Rao; Sreeleela was born after the couple got separated.

It was rumoured that Surapaneni Subhakara Rao was Sreeleela’s father; however, on 17 October 2021, he held a press conference and claimed that he was not her father; however, Sreeleela’s mother claims that he is Sreeleela’s father. Career

Kannada Cinema

In 2017, she was cast by an Indian film director, A. P. Arjun, for his upcoming film Kiss, when he came across her pictures on Instagram. When the shooting of the film began in 2017, she was 16 years old and was in the first year of her pre-university course. The film was released in 2019 and became successful. In the film, she played the role of Nandini, an architecture student.

A month after the release of her debut film, Sreeleela’s second film, Bharaate (2019), was released. In Bharaate, she worked alongside Sriimurali. She played the role of Radha, a tourist in Rajasthan.

Telugu Cinema

In 2021, Sreeleela made her debut in the Telegu Cinema with the romantic musical film Pelli SandaD (2021). In the film, she played the role of Kondaveeti Sahasra. The film received negative reviews; however, Sreeleela’s performance was appreciated in the film.

Sreeleela has appeared in many Telugu films including Aadikeshava (2023) and Bhagavanth Kesari (2023).
