Shiv Thakare was born on 9 September 1989 (age 33 years; as of 2022) in Amravati, Maharashtra. His zodiac sign is Virgo.

He did his schooling from the Sant Kavaram Vidyalaya, Amravati, Maharashtra. He did his Graduation from the G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur, Maharashtra. He was not financially strong, and after his college, he had to do many odd jobs such as that of a newspaper delivery guy, farming, giving tuition classes, and others.

In 2015, he was selected to take part in the popular reality TV game show Roadies Rising (season 14). His popularity grew rapidly while he was in the show and reached the semi-finals before being eliminated from the show. He focused on making his career as a choreographer after Roadies. He started his dance studio, and he has also took part in many dance competitions.

In September 2019, he became the winner of the game reality show “Bigg Boss Marathi” Season 2. He took home the winner’s trophy and prize money of Rs 17 lakh.

Shiv Thakare belongs to a Kshatriya Family. He was born to ManoharRao UttamRao Jhinguji Ganuji Thakare, who owns a pan shop. His mother’s name is Ashatai Thakare. He has a sister, Manisha Thakare, who is married.

He was rumoured to be dating his co-star and Roadies Rising Winner Shweta Mehta.

He then dated the Indian actress Veena Jagtap.

Career

Shiv Thakare is a dancer and choreographer. He owns his dance studio- Shiv Thakare Dance Studio in Amravati, Maharashtra. He teaches dance and also takes part in several dance competitions.

He also works with an event management company and organizes many events around Maharashtra such as fashion, dance, and other competitive shows and events. He also takes part in reality shows. He has participated in Roadies Rising (Season 14) and also in Bigg Boss Marathi Season 2.

Shiv Thakare, along with his ex-girlfriend Veena Jagtap, was featured in the Marathi music video ‘Kasa Chandra.’

 

Shiv has participated in a few other TV shows like The Anti Social Network (2019) and ‘MTV Roadies Revolution’ (2020). He has also made special appearances in a few TV shows like Don Special (2019), Aaj Kay Special (2020), Fakt Marathi Cinema Sanman Awards (2022), and Mela Manoranjanacha (2022). In 2021, he was featured in the Marathimusic video Sheelavati by Varun Likhate. After winning Bigg Boss Marathi, in 2022, he participated in ‘Bigg Boss’ season 16, hosted by Salman Khan.

• In an interview, he shared that once he got a call for a role in an acting project for which he bought new clothes worth Rs 5000. When he went on the sets, he got to know that he had only a small role in it, and he was a part of the crowd in it.

  I began dancing because I aspired to be an actor in the future. When I used to dance, I auditioned for Dance India Dance, Boogie Woogie, and Marathi show Dum Dama Dam, and my overall goal was to go to Bollywood only, even after Roadies. My school, where I used to learn dance, contacted me and asked if I could teach the students at a dance event. They paid me 75 rupees for each of the three dances, and I was greatly appreciated.”

  There was a ma’am in Four Bungalows. She would tell me ki, ‘Maine isko banaya hai, maine usko banaya hai‘. She was calling me for an audition at 11 in the night. Itna bhola toh nahi hoon main ki I won’t understand what auditions happen at night. So, I told her that I have some work and I cannot make it.
