Sawai Bhatt was born in 1998 (age 24 years; as of 2020) in the Gachchipura village of Nagaur, Rajasthan. He was a puppeteer before he started singing professionally. He has performed puppet shows all across the state of Rajasthan to earn his family a living.

Career
Before entering the singing industry, Sawai was a puppeteer who used to do puppet shows across the state of Rajasthan with his parents for their earnings. He was very fond of music since his childhood but could not proceed with professional training because of his poor family conditions. As he grew up he developed a keen interest in music and started performing some traditional Rajasthani songs on the streets and managed to earn a few some money.

Sawai Bhatt first came into the limelight when he participated in Sony Entertainment’s singing reality show Indian Idol Season 12. He sang the folk song ‘Keshariya Balam Aao Mere Desh’ in front of the judges Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani, and Himesh Reshammiya for the audition round which amazed everyone and earned his golden ticket for the next round.

- Sawai Bhatt was motivated by his friends to audition for the singing show Indian Idol 10 but unfortunately, he did not get selected at that time for the show. But he did not lose hope and auditioned for the Indian Idol 12 leaving the judges mesmerised with his singing ability.
