Saumya Tandon was born on 3 November 1984 (age 39 years; as of 2023) in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. She did her schooling from St. Mary’s Convent School, Ujjain and enrolled in Fore School of Management, New Delhi to complete her Masters of Business Administration (MBA).

Saumya started her career in modelling at a very young age. She has walked the ramp at several fashion shows. In 2006, she was the first runner-up in the Femina Cover Girl Contest.

Career

Saumya made her debut in 2006 with the TV serial, “Aisa Des Hai Mera.” She played the character of Rusty Deol. In 2007, she made her debut in Bollywood with the role of “Roop” in the film “Jab We Met.”

  • In August 2022, a month after Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai actor Deepesh Bhan died, Saumya Tandon took to social media to ask for support for his family. On Instagram, she launched a campaign to repay Rs 50 lakh of Mr Bhan’s home loan. She posted a video on Instagram asking her fans to help repay Mr Bhan’s home loan. She said,

    Deepesh Bhan is no more with us but his memories are still with us. He often used to talk about his home, which he bought for his family after taking a home loan. He got married and even has a son but then he left us. Now, we can help him by giving back his house to his son. I have created a fund and whatever amount will be collected will be given to Deepesh’s wife, through which she can pay the home loan. So, please contribute to make Deepesh’s dream come true.”
