Content Creator/Model

In 2017, she started making videos on the online video-sharing app Musical.ly which was later renamed TikTok. She then started working as a model and did a few print advertisements.

After the ban of TikTok in India in 2020, she started making reels on her Instagram account.

Film

In 2017, she made her acting debut with the Bhojpuri film ‘Kaashi Amarnath’ in which she played the role of Nandini.

She appeared in another Bhojpuri film ‘Mera Watan’ in 2021.

She was then featured in a few item songs of the Bhojpuri films like ‘Nirahua Chalal London’ (2019) and ‘Gathbandhan Pyar Ke’ (2022).

Television

Sapna has also played a few cameo roles in various TV serials. She played the role of goddess Durga in the 2016 Hindi TV show ‘Baal Krishna,’ which aired on Big Magic.

Controversy

Arrested For Attacking Prithvi Shaw’s Car

On 16 February 2023, Sapna was arrested for attacking the car of the Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw. On 15 February 2023, Sapna, along with her friends, was at a hotel in Santacruz, Mumbai where Prithvi Shaw was also present with his friends. Reportedly, Sapna and her friends requested Prithvi for selfies but he refused their request, which further turned into an argument. According to the local police, Sapna and her friend Shobhit Thakur then hit Shaw’s car with a baseball bat and threatened them to pay Rs 50,000 to settle the matter or she would file a complaint against Sapna. However, when Sapna’s advocate was asked about the incident, he said,

Sapan was a fan of Shaw and just wanted a selfie with him but the cricketer was drunk and misbehaved with her. He even assaulted Sapna with a wooden bat in a misuse of power and position.”

Shaw and his friends then filed a complaint, against Sapna and her friends at the Oshiwara Police Station under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 143 (unlawful assembly), 148 (rioting), 384 (extortion), and 506 (criminal intimidation). ^[3]The Indian Express
