Rinosh George is an Indian rapper, composer, director, and actor who became famous after his song I’m a Mallu and film Nonsense. He was a participant in the reality TV show Bigg Boss Malayalam 5 in 2023.

Rinosh George was born in 1992 (age 31 years; as of 2023) in Ernakulam, Kerala, India. He was interested in music since childhood and used to sing gospels in church. He studied at Shanthiniketan High School, De Paul International Residential School, and Christ School in Bengaluru. He completed his pre-university at Krupanidhi Pre-University College, Bengaluru. Music

Rinosh George started writing songs at a very young age. He used to watch songs on MTV during childhood and liked the songs of Shaan and other singers. He started working as a professional DJ in 2009. He formed a band during his college days with two of his friends named Syed Faizan Ahmed and Syed Viqar Ahmed and took part in a cultural program. They were initially booed by the crowd which also threw paper pellets at them; however, they soon started grooving to the trio’s songs. He recorded a few of his songs when he was studying in college, made around 1000 CDs and distributed them for free in an attempt to create a fanbase. He also worked as a vocal music teacher at the ADON Institute Of Music, Bengaluru from June 2012 to December 2014. He released a Hindi song Meri Jaan and an international song Sunrise with American rapper BanG Gully and Bangladeshi rapper Shree Sen in 2014. He felt a strong need to pursue a career in music during the final year of his graduation, hence he dropped out of college. He released a few videos; however, those songs did not get popular.

He rose to fame with his song ‘This is Bengaluru’ which became viral and has been viewed by more than 1.5 million people on YouTube by March 2023. The video was shot on the streets of Bengaluru and was well-liked by fans.

He worked as a voice-over artist and a radio jockey at Timbre Media from January 2015 to September 2017. [8]Linked In – Rinosh George He was trying to find roles in Malayalam films when his friend and actor Paul Mathew advised him to sing a song in Malayalam to gain an audience from Kerala. He liked the idea, and in June 2016, he released his song ‘I’m a Mallu’ which became a huge hit and has gained cult status as an anthem for Malayali people and has been viewed by more than 9 million people on YouTube by March 2023. He worked as a radio jockey at 101.3 Gold FM in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from February 2018 to September 2018 to support his family after which he came back to India to make a career as a singer. In October 2018, he gave a performance at the fest named THARANG 2018 of MG University. He released several hit songs like Kalayullavante Cinema (2019), Love We’ll Find (2020), and Oh Machane (2023).

Films

He made his debut as an actor in 2018 with the Malayali film Nonsense starring him and Shruthi Ramachandran in the lead roles which was directed by MC Jithin and produced by Johny Sagariga. He played the role of a student named Arun Jeevan who is not interested in studies and is called Nonsense by his teachers. The film featured BMX cycling and is one of the first films on this theme. His role was well-liked by fans and critics, and it was screened at the International Children’s Film Festival of Kerala 2019.
