Prathamesh was born on Monday, 29 November 1993 (age 29 years; as of 2022) in Masure Magve village in Malvan district, Maharastra, India. His zodiac sign is Sagittarius. He did his schooling at Paranjape Vidyalaya, Mumbai, India. Soon after completing his schooling, he pursued a Bachelor of Banking and Insurance at M.L. Dahanukar College of Commerce, Mumbai, Maharashtra. Prathamesh, while pursuing his undergraduate degree, joined his college theatre group and started participating in various theatrical productions. According to Prathamesh, joining a theatre group in his college influenced him to pursue a career in acting.

At the age of 20, Prathamesh made his film debut with the Marathi film Balak Palak in which he played the supporting role of Vishu.

In 2014, he appeared in the film Timepass in which he played the role of Dagdu Shantaram Parab. Subsequently, Prathamesh appeared in various Marathi films like 35% Kathavar Pass (2016), Khichik (2019), OMG (2021), and Takatak (2022).

Web Series

In 2023, Prathamesh made his digital debut with the Disney+ Hotstar series Taaza Khabar in which he played the role of Peter opposite Bhuvan Bam. In an interview, Prathamesh talked about the web series and said that marking his digital debut with the Bhuvan Bam-starred web series Taaza Khabar was a turning point in his acting career. Prathamesh said,

My journey has been incredible, and I think Taaza Khabar will give my life a significant turn. I’m performing for an OTT show for the first time alongside Bhuvan Bam, who has a large following among young people. When I learned that Bhuvan, Shriya, and Deven were in the cast, I figured I would learn a lot from everyone. I really hope I maintain receiving such positions because everyone used to be so helpful and invested in the project that they all wanted it to be successful.”

  • In an interview in 2021, Prathamesh said that he was diagnosed with depression in 2014. Further, he explained that in 2014, he went jobless following which he went into depression. Prathamesh said,

    I feel every human being goes through depression at some point of life. In this film, the lead character doesn’t have a job and he has seen failure in life. I guess, more than that, he doesn’t have anyone around him and that is the reason he goes into depression.”

  • In an interview, Prathamesh recalled his college days and said that he used to receive Rs 30 as his pocket money from his parents.
  • In his leisure time, he likes to play cricket.
  • According to Prathamesh, he faced criticism for his role as Dagdu Shantaram Parab in the film Timepass (2014). In an interview, Prathamesh talked about this and said,

    Since ‘Timepass’, I have to face some critics, but I would like to give a message to the youth instead of trollers. I will continue to do my standard work. Because after trolling, people also get a lot of love. I do movies with one haircut, some people say that. Talks, but not like that.     I want to work with Shah Rukh Khan one day and I dream about it all the time. I am a big fan of him and I will do my best to share the screen space with him one day.”
