Career

Theatre facilitator

From September 2015 to November 2015, Lauren worked as a photo intern at The Caravan Magazine. In January 2016, she was a research intern at Evaldesign. Lauren served as a research consultant for EVAL prior to joining DSM. She travelled around rural Bihar and Jharkhand with her team to evaluate inquiry-driven teaching strategies with students. In August 2016, she was appointed as an English teacher at Tara International School in Raison, Manali. She also worked as a theatre facilitator for the Nritya Shakti Dance Studio.

In 2018, she appeared in a theatrical play Futureproof by Lynda Radley, which was directed by Amba Suhasini K. Jhala. In 2018, sheappeared in a play called Maati, an Adaptation of Fredrico Garcia Lorca’s play “Yerma”,” which was directed by Mahesh Dattani. Lauren appeared as a performer in several theatrical productions including A Fistful of Rupees (2019), directed by Shiva Tandon, and 07/07/07, which was directed by Faezeh Jalali. She wrote and directed two different short plays, Room 29 and Rafoo, which were both presented at events in Mumbai and Bangalore. In 2020, she participated in a play called Even Mists have Silver Linings, which was an international collaboration between Five Senses Theatre and the University of Florida. The play was based on the tackles and concerns of the LGBTHQIA+ identity and stigma in India.
