Kavin was born on 22 June 1990 (age 29 years; as in 2019) in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. His zodiac sign is Cancer.
He did his schooling from Tiruchirapalli and went to Loyola College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu to pursue a Bachelor degree in Chemistry. During his college days, he participated in an RJ hunt contest for an FM channel. Thereafter, he began acting in short films. Kavin joined an acting workshop and started giving auditions for some films and TV shows. When he was in his final year, he got selected in an audition conducted by Star Vijay after which he dropped his studies to make a career in acting.

Career
Kavin started his acting career in 2011 with Star Vijay’s TV serial “Kana Kaanum Kaalangal” in which he played the role of ‘Shiva.’ Next, he appeared in the role of ‘Murugan’ in the serial “Saravanan Meenatchi.” Subsequently, he bagged the lead role of ‘Vettaiyan’ aka ‘Saravana Perumal’ in the sequel of the serial “Saravanan Meenatchi.” His performance in the serial earned him wide popularity.
In 2015, Kavin co-hosted the Vijay Television Awards. Next, he made a cameo in the film “Indru Netru Naalai.” He made his acting debut as a supporting actor in the Tamil film “Sathriyan.” Thereafter, he played the lead role in the Tamil film “Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma.”
He has also hosted the reality show “Kings of Dance” (season 2).
In 2019, Kavin entered the Big Boss Tamil 3 house as a participant.
