Indravathi Chauhan is an Indian playback singer, who is known for her sensational songs predominantly in the Telugu film industry. She became the internet sensation after singing the blockbuster item song “Oo Antava Mava Oo Antava” for the movie Pushpa: The Rise (2021).
Indravathi Chauhan was born in 2000 (age 21 years; as of 2021) in Gooty, district Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh. Not much is known about her parents. She has 2 sisters and her elder sister, Satyavathi Rathod better known as Mangli, is also a famous Indian playback singer and anchor. Mangli has sung the Kannada version of Indravti’s song “Oo Antava Mava Oo Antava”. She also has a brother, Shiva.
Although Indravathi does not have a classical singing background, she appeared on a show based on folk singers which was hosted by her sister Mangali. When music director, Devi Sri Prasad (also known as DSP) was looking for a fresh voice for the song “Oo Antava Mava Oo Antava”, Indravathi sent her video of singing on the show as her audition clip.
