Sonali Patil was born on Tuesday, 5 May 1987 (age 34 years; as of 2021) in Islampur, Maharashtra. Her zodiac sign is Taurus. She spent her childhood in Gondoli, Shahuwadi Tehsil of Kolhapur district, Maharashtra. She attended Tararani Vidyapith and Usharaje High School in Kolhapur. Family

Sonali Patil’s father was unable to witness her success as he suddenly died before the release of the show ‘Vaiju No.1’ (2020), a prominent show in Sonali’s career after which she came into the limelight. She has two brothers, Abhijeet Patil and Vishnu Patil. Abhijeet is a mechanical engineer, who works as an assistant professor at Sahyadri Polytechnic; meanwhile, Vishnu Patil is a civil engineer.

Career

After completing her formal education, Sonali worked as a professor at Rajaram College (junior and senior), Kolhapur.

Television

In 2018, she made her television debut when she played the role of Rekha in the Marathi-language TV show ‘Julta Julta Jultay Ki.’ The show centres around a short-stature boy named Vijay and a tall rebellious girl named Apoorva, who marries Vijay in a fit of rage.

In 2020, she played the protagonist Vaijayanti in the daily soap ‘Vaiju No.1.’ In the series, Vaijayanti is a quick-witted girl whose unique solutions to any kind of problem makes her special.

In 2021, she appeared in the popular crime thriller show ‘Devmanus’ (2020) as Advocate Arya Patil. In the show, Arya Patil is hired by the serial killer doctor Devi Singh to defend him in the criminal proceedings. Based on the real-life events in Maharashtra, ‘Devmanus’ centres around Devi Singh, a former compounder, who establishes his own clinic in a remote village following a series of murders. Devi Singh disguises himself as Dr Ajit Kumar Dev, who soon wins the trust of the locals.

She also appeared in Colors Marathi’s ‘Ghadge & Suun’ (2017) as Priyanka. She gained popularity for appearing in the reality television game show Bigg Boss Marathi (season 3) as a contestant in 2021.

Film

She made her film debut in 2018 when she played the role of  Swastika Mukharji in the Marathi-language film ‘Aaron’. The central character of the film is a fifteen-year-old boy named Babu, who, in the quest to meet his mother, sets out on an unforgettable journey, along with his entrusted uncle.
