Shivani Sen started her career in 2001 as a technical support executive at a management consulting company named EXL Service in New Delhi. She left the company after working there for more than two years. In 2003, she worked as a senior technical support executive at HCL Tech in Noida for almost one year. In the same year, she joined the vCustomer Corporation in New Delhi, where she had the responsibility of a team leader. She worked there for almost one year and left the company in 2004. In 2020, she started working as a director of Public relations at Zytech Solar India in Hyderabad, Telangana. She worked there for almost a year and left the company in 2021.

In 2005, Shivani Sen started working as a freelance compere. She has hosted various big events, such as corporate events, government events, conferences, celebrity events, and weddings. In 2021, she, along with Riaz Basha, hosted the ‘Zonal Spotlight Awards 2020.’

She took on the role of hosting the GCC Summit 2.0 organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in India (AMCHAM) in 2022.

In February 2023, she had the opportunity to host the Mobility Next Hyderabad Summit, which took place at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre in India.

She has hosted several other noteworthy events, including the TiE Global Summit in 2022, the 31st International Symposium on Ballistics in 2019, the Super Kings Club Awards Night for The India Cements Ltd. in 2019, the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Civil Aviation Research Organization in 2018, and the 70th Year celebration & awards night of Birla’s HIL.
