Acting

Saru Maini made her acting debut in 2018 with the Hollywood crossover film 5 Weddings starring Rajkumar Rao and Nargis Fakhri in the lead roles. Saru played the role of Bhavana in the film. The film was screened at the Cannes film festival in India. Besides acting, she also lent her voice to a song in the film.

In 2023, Saru Maini played the role of Meher in the Bollywood film 72 Hoorain (Bahattar Hoorain).

In the same year, she appeared in the short film Dastak.

Singing

Music Albums

Saru Maini made her singing debut with the music album Ishq Hua, which was released on 30 September 2005.

In 2007, she released her music album Sutta Mix and gained popularity for the song “Dil De Diya Tha.” The song featured the Indian actress Meghna Naidu. A year later, she released the music album Shake It, Shake It. Saru has released multiple pop albums. In 2019, she released her song Pyaare Kya Hoga via T Series.

Playback Singing

In addition to music albums, she has also lent her voice for playback singing in Bollywood and a Hollywood crossover film. She has collaborated with Sonu Nigam and Shaan for playback singing. She made her Bollywood debut in 2006 by singing the song Bhangara Paale from the Hindi film Anthony Kaun Hai?. In 2011, she lent her voice to the song Sloshed from the Hindi film Mumbai Mast Kallander. She also performed the musical themes for the film. Subsequently, she lent her voice to the song Laung Gawacha from the Hollywood crossover film 5 Weddings (2018).

Saru Maini has promoted various clothing and beauty & wellness brands on her Instagram account including Blam Black, Wild Glow, and Otrix.

A fashion designer, Saru styled her costume for the American film 5 Weddings (2018). She also styles her costumes for her music videos. She is also an interior designer and has designed her home and the homes of a few celebrities including Mika Singh. In October 2018, she was featured on the cover of Femina magazine.

She owns a self titled YouTube channel which was created on 26 April 2019. She uploads her music videos and travel vlogs on the channel The channel has more than 6K subscribers on it.
