She made her debut in the Telugu film industry with the film ‘Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya’ (2020) in which she played the role of Jyothi. She made her debut in the Tamil film industry in 2022 with the film ‘Yamakaathagi.’ In 2023, she appeared in the Telugu film ‘Mr. Pregnant,’ opposite Syed Sohel Ryan. She played the role of Mahi in the film.

Roopa Koduvayur started learning the classical dance forms Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi at a very young age. She has danced in numerous events. In 2016, she played the Lord Shiva in the cultural programme ‘Shiva Parvathi Kalyanam,’ on the occasion of Karthika Deepotsavam. The programme was broadcast on the channel TV5.

- She received an award from the popular musician and actor Mangalampalli Balamuralikrishna for achieving first place in a dance competition when she was seven years old.

- In an interview, she revealed that she spent almost three hours every day practising dance (Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi).
- In 2017, she uploaded a dance cover video on her YouTube channel ‘Roopa Koduvayur’ in which she performed the classical dance on the song ‘Saahore Baahubali’ from the Telugu film ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.’ The video went viral on the internet, making her famous.
- In an interview, she revealed that when she was studying, her mother was diagnosed with cancer, which made her pursue Oncology. While talking about it in the interview, she said,
My mother was diagnosed with cancer when I was preparing for EAMCET exams. That shook me. She is a cancer survivor and my staunch supporter; my hero. I want to become an oncologist and treat as many people as I can.”
