Death
She died on 28 December 2022 in Howrah, West Bengal after she was shot by some goons while travelling with her husband and daughter. According to her husband, they stopped at 6 am to take some rest at National Highway 16 when a group of three men came towards them and tried to steal their stuff. When Riya saw her husband in trouble, she went to save him, but the gang shot her.
