Pravin Tambe is an Indian cricketer who is known for debuting in the IPL at the age of 41. He is also famous for the biopic titled ‘Kaun Hai Tambe?’ that was released on 1 April 2022 on Disney+ Hotstar that stars Shreyas Talpade in the lead role.

Cricket
In 2013, Pravin became a member of the Rajasthan Royals and played for the team till 2015. In February 2017, he was bought by the team Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs. 10 lakhs. In the 2020 IPL auction, he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders. In an interview, Pravin talked about his debut in cricket at the age of 40 and said,
I am passionate about the game. I have always played the game for enjoyment. I was not worried about anything. My aim was just to bowl the right lengths.”
Pravin became a member of the squad for the Mumbai Ranji team in 2000, but he was unable to play in that match. In the 2013-2014 Ranji Trophy, he played for the Mumbai team. On 25 February 2017, he played the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
He played the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for Trinbago Knight Riders in July 2020.

- Pravin received the Golden Wicket Award for taking the most wickets in the tournament in Champions League 2013.
- On 5 May 2014, he made a hat-trick against Kolkata Knight Riders in Ahmedabad and also won the man of the match award.
- He won the Purple Cap after he took the highest number of wickets in the IPL 2014.
- He became the first player to take 5 wickets in season two of the T10 League.

Before making his debut in the IPL, he played for Kanga Cricket League, his office, and many more cricket clubs. He played in various other competitions include Liverpool and District cricket competitions in England.
- Pravin wanted to become a fast bowler when he started playing cricket during childhood, but it was Ajay Kadam, a cricketer, who suggested him to bowl leg-spin.
- While Pravin was growing up, he used to accompany his father to the ground where his father used to play cricket for Johnson and Johnson.
- Once, Pravin was practising at Shivaji Park Gymkhana, where he was noticed by cricketer Sandeep Patil who was impressed by his bowling style.
- In 2019, Pravin played the T10 tournament. In 2020, he was selected for the IPL, but the BCCI denied him to play because he had not announced his retirement from T10 or taken permission from the BCCI to play the IPL.

- In an interview, Pravin talked about the biopic ‘Kaun Pravin Tambe’ that was made on his cricket journey and said,
My only wish is that more and more people get inspired to live their dreams and never underestimate their potential no matter what their circumstances are and never give up. My family and loved ones can’t wait to see my story come alive, and for me it is going to be a very special day.”
