Indian Foreign Service (IFS)
In 2005, she joined the Ministry of External Affairs. In August 2008, she was appointed as Second Secretary at the Embassy of India in Argentina. In January 2021, she began to serve as Joint Secretary at the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Later, she was appointed as Under Secretary at the Ministry of External Affairs in Delhi. While working as Under Secretary, she dealt with issues related to India’s neighbouring countries, especially Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran.
She works as a counsellor at the Permanent Mission of India to the UN in New York. As the counsellor, she represents India in the topics related to security council reform, counter-terrorism, cyber security issues, and security council (regional issues). She has also worked on UN economic and social issues during her probation period in New Delhi in 2007. She also holds the position of Senior Adviser on Peace and Security matters in the Office of the President of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
