Baiju Paravoor passed away on 26 June 2023 at the age of 42, allegedly due to food poisoning. On 24 June 2023, he went to Kozhikode to discuss a film project, and while returning to Kollam, he had food at a restaurant following which he complained of physical discomfort and chest pain. He went to a hospital near his wife’s home in Kunnamkulam on 24 June 2023 and came home on 25 June 2023; however, he again complained of physical discomfort and was admitted to a hospital in Kuzhuppilly.
