As an Actor

Aadar is a trained actor, and he started performing in theatre plays at the age of 18. He has appeared in a few TV series like ‘Improv All-Stars- Games Night’ (2018) and ‘LOL-Hasse Toh Phasse’ (2021).

As a Stand-Up Comedian

Aadar did his first open mic comedy show at ‘The Store’ in 2011. He joined a comedy group ‘Schitzengiggles’ in 2014 which was started to provide a platform for local comedians, and later, it became a popular comedy group in Mumbai. He has performed with the group at the national and international level, and some of the other members of the group are Karan Talwar, Brij Bhakta, Varun Thakur, and Neville Shah.

He appeared in Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Standup The Musical’ (2016), a unique which includes a guitar and piano. He has also featured in various YouTube comic videos like ‘BollywoodGandu’ and ‘GettingSillyWithIt.’ Aadar has performed at various comic events of ‘The Canvas Laugh Club,’ ‘The Cuckoo Club,’ and ‘The Comedy Store.’

As a Singer and Music Composer

Some of his popular songs are ‘She Called Me Bhaiya’ (2015), ‘Bh*nch*d Sutta Cancer Ho Gaya’ (2018), ‘Straight Gay Lesbian Bi’ (2018), and ‘Break-Up Song’ (2020). He composed a song ‘Pet Goat’ (2016) which went viral on YouTube and was shortlisted for the Worldwide Comedy Short Film Festival, London.

Controversy

In 2020, he apologised for one of his old comic videos for hurting the religious sentiments of people. In an interview, he said,

Some clips of my videos are being shared on social media. I’m really sorry if I’ve hurt anyone’s religious sentiments or if anyone has got offended by these videos. These are eight-year-old videos, and they have been taken out of context and time.” ^[3]The Deccan Chronicle

He failed in class 10 as his grandfather was hospitalized, and he could not prepare for the exams.

In an interview, he talked about starting his career as an actor, he said,

I started as an actor and then moved to comedy. When I was doing comedy initially, there was no indication that this could be a career but today it is. I have come a long way from seeing it as a hobby take it up as a profession.”

He makes comic videos on daily life topics, in an interview, he said,

I mostly talk about the things that annoy me or make me happy and I find many people sharing similar experiences. Arre yeh to mere saath bhi hua tha is what makes people laugh and connect with you. I used to work with my dad’s event management company. When everyone was dancing and having fun and I was behind those huge speakers. I could do nothing but observe.”
