Srushti Jayant Deshmukh, the 23 years old UPSC topper hails from Kasturba Nagar, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
Srushti has always been a very bright student, she did her schooling from Carmel Convent School, BHEL, Bhopal where she secured 93.4% in her class 12th examination. She did her B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Lakshmi Narain College of Technology, Bhopal (2014-2018).

Srushti’s father, Jayant Deshmukh is an Engineer who works in a private company and her mother, Sunita Deshmukh is an elementary school teacher. She has a younger brother.

- According to Srushti, she had planned to give only a single chance to the UPSC Examination, and if she couldn’t succeed in her first attempt she won’t have given another attempt.
- Srushti does Yoga regularly and has an interest in studying about Yog.
- She always wanted to become an IAS officer, it has been her dream since childhood.
- Despite being a Chemical Engineer, she chose Sociology as her optional subject for UPSC 2018 exam.
