Myna Nandhini is an Indian actress who won the first prize in the Indian-Tamil language cooking reality show titled Kitchen Super Star (season 3), which aired on Star Vijay in 2015. She is best known for her role as Mynavathi in the Tamil film ‘Aranmanai 3’ (2021). In 2022, she appeared as a contestant in Big Boss (Tamil- season 6) with a wild card entry.

Myna Nandhini was born as Nandhini Rajendran on Tuesday, 21 May 1991 (age 31 years; as of 2022) in Madurai, Chennai. Her zodiac sign is Gemini. She did her schooling at Meenakshi Matriculation School in Madurai and pursued a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) at the Ambiga College of Arts and Science, Anna Nagar, Tamil Nadu.

Husband & Children

First marriage: Karthikeyan

In 2017, Myna got married to Karthikeyan, who was a gym owner. On 3 April 2017, Karthikeyan consumed poison and committed suicide at a lodge in Virugambakkam, Chennai. ^[1]India Today

Following his suicide, the police found a suicide note in which he talked about how Myna’s father was the reason for his actions. He wrote,

I tried to talk to Nandhini many times over the phone, but Rajendran came in between and stopped. I am committing suicide due to the mental agony caused because of this. He had even blocked my call. He is only wholly responsible for my suicide.”

In an interview, while talking about Karthikeyan, she revealed that the woman Karthikeyan was previously married to, had committed suicide and Karthikeyan was arrested by the police for his involvement in her case. She also said that he used to take money from innocent people in exchange for false-promised government jobs.

Nobody, including my parents, knew about an incident so far. He had an affair with some other girl, who committed suicide. And the police arrested him. But, I didn’t tell anyone. I told others that he had gone to Dubai. All the secrets that I had buried in my heart are now coming out because of him. He was very upset as people were pressuring him to return his money. I used to give him pep talk time and again and even told him that we could be together again once he sorts out all the problems. I was even giving him money from my earnings without telling anyone. When I confronted him about it, he threatened to commit suicide. And that is the reason my parents decided to take me to their home with them.”

On 11 November 2019, Myna got married to Yogeshwaram, who is an actor. On 5 September 2020, the couple had a son and named him Dhruvan.

In 2009, she made her debut with the Tamil drama film titled Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu.

Later, she continued to appear in many Tamil films including Vamsam (2010), Romeo Juliet (2015), and Namma Veettu Pillai (2019). In 2022, she made a cameo appearance in the Tamil film ‘Sardar.’

In 2012, she made her Television debut on Sun TV with the TV series titled ‘Azhagi’ in which she played the role of Ranjini. Myna earned immense popularity for playing the role of Myna Revathi in the TV series ‘Saravanan Meenatchi’ (2013) and the role of Alabarai Myna in the Tamil-language soap opera titled Chinna Thambi (2017) on Vijay TV.

In 2021, she made her OTT debut with the web series ‘November Story’ in which she played the role of Chithra.
