Karthik Mahesh was born on 7 October in Mysore, Karnataka. His zodiac sign is Libra. He attended Marimallappa High School and St. Joseph’s High School in Mysore. Career

Television

Karthik debuted with the television show Khushi (2015) on Star Suvarna and played the role of Vishnuvardhan.

He acted in other Kannada serials including Akka (2014-2015) on Colors Kannada, Bangari (2017) on Colors Super, and Inthi Nimma Asha (2020).

In 2018, he made an appearance in supporting roles in the shows Shani on Colors Kannada and Mahakaali.

In 2021, he showcased his dance skills on the TV show Dance Dance, which aired on Star Suvarna. In 2022, he was part of the television show Puttakkana Makkalu but left the show in the middle. After leaving the show, he appeared in another television show Raaji on Star Suvarna in the same year.

For the Valentine’s Day celebration in 2023, he gave a dance performance on the show Suvarna Premotsava.

 

In October 2023, he participated as a contestant in Season 10 of the reality show Bigg Boss Kannada.

He emerged as the winner of the show on 28 January 2024.

Film

Karthik made his debut with the film Dollu (2022) and played the role of Bhadra.

The film received positive acclaim from the audience, bringing him a lot of fame. The movie was screened at many national and international film festivals. It also won many honours. 

Karthik Mahesh’s Instagram post about Dollu being part of Nepal International Film FestivalIn the same year, the Indian government selected it as one of the 9 films to be featured at the Berlinale’s European Film Market (EFM). The film received several notable awards, including Best Regional Feature Film and Best Debut Direction for Regional Feature Film at the Rajasthan International Film Festival. It also won the Dadasabheb Phalke 2021 award and Best Kannada Film at the Innovative International Film Festival.

Additionally, it also won Best Film and Technical Excellence awards at the Caleidoscope Indian Film Festival Boston 2021.
