Ishita Kishore was born in 1996 (age 27 years; as of 2023) in Begumpet, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. She is a native of Patna, Bihar; however, she has spent a large part of her life in Delhi, India. She completed her schooling at Air Force Bal Bharati School, Delhi in 2014 with Commerce stream in mathematics and secured 97.25% marks. UPSC Examination
Since her childhood, she was exceptionally good in her studies. After quitting her job in 2019, she started preparing for the UPSC IAS examination and failed in her first two attempts as she could qualify the prelims. In 2023, she secured 1st rank in the UPSC-IAS examination during her third attempt. She secured 901 marks in the Written examination and 193 marks in the interview, totalling 1094 marks to secure the top rank in the prestigious examination.
Preparation Strategy & Timetable
In an interview after the examination, she revealed that she used to study every day for 9 hours and worked hard on her writing skills. Her optional subjects for the UPSC IAS exam were Political Science and International Relations.

- She participated in several co-curricular activities during her school and college days. She was the President of the Rotary-sponsored club Interact and used to conduct mock United Nations during school functions. She was a member of the Economic Society and Literary Society during her college days.
