A phenomenal season of the 2020-21 Dream11 Super Smash as the highest run-getter in the tournament helped Finn Allen secure a place in New Zealand’s Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their home series against Bangladesh. Finn played his debut T20I match for New Zealand on 28 March 2021, against Bangladesh at Hamilton. The wicketkeeper-batsman did not have the best of starts to his international career as he got out on a first-ball duck in his first match and could only score 17 runs in the match that followed.
