Sajidha Mohamed was born in 1978 (age 46 years; as of 2024) in Malé, Maldives. After completing her schooling, Sajidha relocated to Bengaluru, India, where she completed her graduation with a bachelor’s degree in science in 2003. Thereafter, she went to London, the United Kingdom, where she completed her post-graduation with a master’s degree in science in 2005 at the University of Leeds.

Sajidha became the first lady following the appointment of Muizzu as the President of the Maldives on 17 November 2023. Later, she, along with her husband, visited Turkey, where she met her counterpart Emine Erdoğan. In January 2023, she visited the People’s Republic of China (PRC) along with her husband.
