In March 2022, Neha made her international debut at the Asian Championships in Abu Dhabi, where she won a bronze medal in sailing, which helped her qualify for the Asian Games (2022) in Hangzhou. In 2023, Neha Thakur represented India at the 19th Asian Games (2022) held in Hangzhou, China, where she bagged a silver medal in the Girl’s Dinghy ILCA 4 event in sailing at the NBX sailing centre in Ningbo with a net score of 27 points from 11 races.
