VJ

During his college days, Azeem worked as a radio jockey for Radio One, which is an Indian commercial radio network. In 2008, before pursuing an acting career, Azeem started working as a video jockey (VJ) for a television show on Zee Tamil. In 2010, after working for two years on Zee Tamil, he switched to Moon TV as a producer-cum-host for a television show. In 2012, Azeem appeared as an anchor for a television show on Sun TV.

Television

In 2012, Azeem made his acting debut with the television show Maya as Ashwin alongside Vani Bhojan on Jaya TV.

In 2013, he appeared in two television shows, Pirivom Santhippom as Karthi and Deivam Thandha Veedu as Charan on Star Vijay. In May 2016, Azeem shot to fame when he appeared as Arjun in the television show Pagal Nilavu on Star Vijay.

Later, he appeared in a few shows like Niram Maratha Pookkal as Ramakrishnan on Zee Tamil (2019), Kadaikutty Singam as Maruthu on Star Vijay (2019), and Poove Unakkaga as Kathiravan Shivanarayanan on Sun TV (2021).

In 2018, Azeem participated in season 10 of the dance reality show Jodi Number One: Fun Unlimited along with Shivani Narayanan on Star Vijay. The show’s contestants, who participated in pairs, were celebrities from the television industry. Azeem and Shivani were the 3rd runner-ups of the show.

In October 2022, Azeem appeared as a contestant in the sixth season of Bigg Boss Tamil on Star Vijay.

Facts/Trivia

• In October 2020, it was speculated that Azeem would enter the reality show Big Boss Tamil season 4 as a wild card contestant, which already had his rumoured girlfriend Shivani Narayanan in the house from the beginning. • In July 2021, a 26-year-old woman, a resident of  Usilampatti in Tamil Nadu, was tricked of Rs 2.56 lakh by a con man, who connected with the victim by sending her a friend request on Facebook by the name of Mohammed Azeem. The victim was delighted to receive the friend request from her favourite actor. After chatting for a few days, the man started asking for money from the woman on account of some emergency need. The woman, without cross-checking the identity of the man, kept sending a certain amount of money at regular intervals.
