After dating for around 5 and a half months, on 28 July 2018, Keshav proposed to her which she accepted and became his girlfriend. She and Keshav kept their relationship very private and did not tell their families about it; however, on the occasion of the 50th birthday of Keshav’s mother, he planned a Kathak dance performance with her after which his family agreed to their relationship.
