On October 24, 2021, Floriane Bascou was crowned Miss Martinique, winning over eight other contenders in Fort-de-France, succeeding Sephorah Azur.
Miss France 2022
As Miss Martinique, Floriane Bascou represented the region in the Miss France 2022 competition held on December 11, 2021, at the Zénith de Caen in Normandy. During the pageant, she advanced to the Top 15, then to the Top 5, and ultimately secured the position of 1st runner-up for Miss France 2022.

Because of the inability of Diane Leyre (Miss France 2022) to participate in the international contest, the Miss France organization confirmed on October 11, 2022, that Floriane Bascou would represent France at the Miss Universe 2022 competition. The event took place on January 14, 2023, in New Orleans, United States. Floriane became the first Miss Martinique to represent France at the Miss Universe competition. Her national costume for the event, created by designer KenVee Clothing, was inspired by the French national holiday of July 14th. Floriane’s journey in the competition concluded just before the Top 16.

- Floriane Bascou is also the sibling of the Olympic medalist, Dimitri Bascou. Dimitri, her elder brother, specializes in the 110-meter hurdles. He won the bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and was a European champion.
- Floriane wants to be a dentist because she used to wear braces in her childhood (when she was 12 years old) and she understands how it feels to wear them. In an interview, she revealed that it was quite difficult and she felt underconfident about herself when she first started wearing them. This is what inspired her to study the subject and thus, she wants to help especially the children to get back their smiles and mend crooked teeth.
- In an interview, the model revealed that she always had a complex related to her belly button which was outwards. She did not feel comfortable going out on the beach and exposing her midriff.
