He did his schooling in Allahabad and has completed his graduation. While he was studying in college, he decided to make a career in acting and began performing in theatre, and after graduating from college, he relocated to Mumbai, where he made his acting debut with the TV show Chauda Phere on DD National.

Anurag Sharma began modelling and acting while he was studying in college. He arrived in Mumbai in 2004 and began his career in the entertainment industry with the TV show Chauda Phere, and then he appeared in many popular TV shows like Prithviraj Chauhan and Bahubali. Apart from acting in TV shows, Anurag Sharma has also appeared in some commercials.
