Ambati Arjun is an Indian software engineer, YouTuber, actor, and model, who has predominately worked in the Telugu entertainment industry. He is known for appearing in famous serials and films such as Arddhanaari (2016), Agni Sakshi (2017), and Devatha – Anubandhala Alayam (2020). He hit the headlines in October 2023 after he was selected to make a wild card entry in the seventh season of the reality TV Bigg Boss Telugu.

Nagarjuna Reddy Ambati was born on Saturday, 16 August 1986 (age 37 years; as of 2023) in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. ^[1]Ambati Reddy – Instagram His zodiac sign is Leo. Ambati did his schooling in Andhra Pradesh.

Thereafter, he earned a bachelor’s degree in technology in computer science. While studying in college, he joined the National Cadet Corps (NCC), and in 2006, he was chosen to be part of the NCC’s Republic Day contingent. According to him, he was the only Naval Wing NCC Cadet from Andhra Pradesh to be chosen to attend the Republic Day Camp.

After completing his formal education, Ambati worked as an IT professional in Hyderabad and then in Bengaluru. However, he left the job to become a model. In an interview, he talked about his family’s reaction and said,

When they came to know that I was leaving a good job and entering films, they scolded me a lot.”

Model

After working as an IT professional for some time, Ambati resigned from his job to pursue a career in modelling. He started working as a model and appeared in many advertisements. In 2014, he was featured in the Jogi & Jogan Calendar. He has also featured in numerous fashion magazines.

Films

Arjun made his acting debut in the Telugu film industry with the film Soukhyam, which was released in 2015. In the film, he essayed the role of a villain named Arjun.

In the same year, he appeared in Geethopadesam. In the film, he shared the screen with the popular actor Prakash Raj.

In 2018, he was seen in Moodu Puvvulu Aaru Kayalu. He landed the role of a character named Vivek in the 2019 film Ashwamedham. In 2021, he appeared as Prabhu in the film Sundari and received praise for his acting by film critics. According to him, the director of the film, Kalyan G., offered him a role in the film by contacting him through social media. In the same year, Arjun auditioned for a role in Pushpa; however, he was not selected. He essayed the role of a college student named Arjun in the 2022 film Tees Maar Khan.

I didn’t prepare for the character, in a way. I liked the character and I knew I could do it. I have been in the industry for 6-7 years. I’ve played all sorts of characters — cop, social activist, female, old man. So because of past experience, this was a little easy for me.”

In 2020, he, along with his wife, participated in the dance reality TV show Ishmart Jodi.

In the same year, he landed the role of a character named Aditya in the serial Devatha – Anubandhala Alayam. In 2021, he acted in the web series Hello Guru Prema Kosame. In 2022, he was seen in a YouTube series titled Fear of Missing Out.

In October 2023, he made a wild card entry in Bigg Boss Telugu Season 7.

In 2013, Arjun started his YouTube channel. In October 2020, he changed the name of the channel to ACT Originals. In October 2023, the channel had more than 160k subscribers. He has published numerous YouTube series on his channel such as Love Per Square Foot, Second Shaadi, and Achyuthanandana – House Husband.
