He met her through a common friend, he liked her and started developing feelings for her. Later, while they were on a trip with their friends, Rajat confessed his love to Jyotika. Initially, Jyotika did not react much about it, but slowly she also started liking him. After completing the graduation, Rajat shifted to Chandigarh while Jyotika was pursuing her final semester in South Korea. At that time, Jyotika also confessed her love to Rajat, and they started dating each other. After a few years of their relationship, the couple got engaged on 5 November 2021 in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.

After completing graduation, he started preparing for the civil services exams in Chandigarh. During the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, he started making YouTube videos with Jyotika Dilaik. Initially, he shoot the videos for Jyotika’s YouTube channel, and later, at viewers request, he started appearing in the videos.
