Jessie Mei Li was born on August 27, 1995 (age 26 years; as of 2020) in Brighton, East Sussex, and she was raised in Redhill, Surrey. Her zodiac sign is Virgo. She attended the Reigate College, Surrey and after completing her college, she joined the National Youth Theatre, London in 2015. After a year of training at the theater, she joined the Identity School of Acting for the 2016-2017 batch.

Career

Jessie Mei Li made her on-screen debut in 2018 with the short film ‘Together, They Smoke.’ Jessie made her debut on stage in 2019 with the show ‘All About Eve,’ a reenactment of the 1950s drama movie with the same title. She played the role of Claudia Casswell, and the show was performed at Noel Coward Theatre, London. She worked opposite Lily James and Gillian Anderson in the play. [1]Independent Talent

In 2019, Jessie featured in an episode of ‘Locked Up Abroad,’ and in the short film ‘Travelooper.’ Jessie Li made a comeback on the screen with the 2021 Netflix series ‘Shadow and Bone’ in which she played the main character of Aline Starkov.

In 2021, she was also roped in to play the role of ‘Lara Chung’ in Edgar Wright’s psychological horror movie ‘Last Night in Soho.’
