Khaleel Ahmed was born as Khaleel Khursheed Ahmed in a Muslim family on 5 December 1997 (age 21; as in 2018) in Tonk, Rajasthan, India. In his childhood, he used to play with tennis ball, but later, he practised with the cricket ball. He had a dream to play for Indian Cricket Team one day. Initially, Khaleel’s parents were against his decision to play cricket. They wanted him to be a doctor. His father used to beat him for playing cricket.
Family
His father, Khursheed Ahmed is a nurse in a local hospital and his mother is a housewife. He has three sisters.

Career
When he was 12 years old, he joined cricket academy in Tonk without informing his parents. In his early years of cricket, he used to copy the actions of Zaheer Khan and Irfan Pathan.

When he was playing in Cricket academy, his coach Imtiyaz Khan sent him to the Rajasthan Cricket Academy in Jaipur, where he joined the Rajasthan Under-14 camp. Playing for Rajasthan Under-14, he picked up 26 wickets in just 4 matches. After his great performances, he was selected to a cricket academy in Mohali, Punjab at a BCCI Specialist Academy. In 2015, he played for India U-19 and took 13 wickets in 5 matches which made his place in the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup squad. In 2017, he made his first-class debut for ‘Rajasthan’ in Ranji Trophy against ‘Jammu & Kashmir’ at Jaipur. In September 2018, he took 3 wickets in his debut match for Indian Cricket Team against Hong Kong. On 18 September 2018, he made his ODI debut in the Asia Cup against Hong Kong at Dubai.
Salary/Net Worth
In 2016, he was drafted by Delhi Daredevils for ₹10 lakh. In the 2018 IPL auction, he was bought for ₹3 Crore by Sunrisers Hyderabad.
