Controversies

• On 31 October 2017, Gaurav Sharma declared that he was going to quit his YouTube journey because of some personal issues, but only after eight days, i.e., on 8 November 2017, Gaurav uploaded a video “Reason of my Comeback” and mentioned that he was continuing his journey only after the requests of his fans. As soon as the video went viral, “Gaurav Chaudhary” aka Technical Guruji accused him that it was just a Click Bait technique to gain subscribers to his account.

• Gaurav Sharma landed into controversy with “Arun,” who runs a YouTube channel “Two Brothers.” According to Arun, he had given 1 Lakh rupees to Gaurav for promoting his YouTube channel, but later, Gaurav denied to do so and did not return his money back.

• Gaurav Sharma released a video under the title ‘Flying Dollar with helium gas balloon’ on 21 May 2021. He tied his pet dog Dollar with a bunch of helium balloons and let his dog fly by itself. The video showed all the preparations done in advance by Gaurav, and his mother also helped him complete the task. As soon as the video went viral, the audience started accusing him, and several complaints were filed against him. The video was taken off by Gaurav, and an apology video was published by him on 23 May 2021. Later, Gaurav was arrested by the local Police with charges of cruelty to animals under sections 188, 264, and 33 of the Animal cruelty act.

• On 14 November 2021, the Uttar Pradesh police arrested him for shooting a video inside “Nidhivan Raj” in Vrindavan, Mathura. Nidhivan Raj is considered a sacred place, and it is believed that Radha and Lord Krishna play “raas lila” every night. Reportedly, after shooting the alleged video on the night of 6 November 2021, he uploaded it on his YouTube channel on 9 November 2021 following which a complaint was registered at the Vrindavan police station by the priest of Nidhivan Raj, Rohit Goshwami, and a case under section 295A of the IPC and section 66 of the IT Act was registered against Sharma following which he was arrested by the police from his Delhi residence. ^[1]NDTV
