Deepak Thakur was born on 24 March 1994 (24 Years). Nicknamed Kanhaiya, Thakur started learning singing at a very young age. Since childhood singing was his passion and so his family moved from his hometown Athar village to Muzaffarpur. Initially, Thakur used to sing at the weddings, jagrans, and other small ceremonies.

Besides that Deepak also runs his own YouTube channel titled DEEPAK THAKUR, whereby he has showcased his singing talent and shared many Hindi, Punjabi, and Bhojpuri songs by singing them in his style.

Deepak Thakur was born on 24 March 1994 (24 years) at Athar Village, Buxar District, Bihar, India in a middle-class agricultural Hindu family. His father Pankaj Thakur is a farmer, and his mother is a homemaker. Deepak also has a brother, Saket Thakur and two sisters, Jyoti Thakur and Deepika Thakur.

Career

Deepak Thakur completed his schooling from Oxford Public School, Muzaffarpur, Bihar and Pristine Children’s High School, Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Later on, he enrolled at the Lalit Narayan Mishra College of Business Management, Muzaffarpur for pursuing graduation in Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA). After graduating, Deepak opted for post-graduation and started his Master in Business Administration but later dropped out of it.

Initially, Deepak used to sing at small functions, ceremonies and gatherings but 2012 proved to be a turning point of his life; as music director Sneha Khanwalkar noticed him and gave him the chance to sing a song “Humni Ke Chhodi Ke” for the film Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 1.

With success, Deepak began singing for Bollywood movies. He sang Bollywood songs like Moora-Morning (Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2; 2012) and Adhura Main (Mukkabaaz; 2018).

In 2018, Deepak Thakur along with his girlfriend, Urvashi Vani  entered the controversial reality TV show Bigg Boss Season 12 as a commoner jodi. He went on to become the second runner-up and walked away with ₹20 lakh.
