Sheena Bora Murder Case

Peter Mukerjea was questioned by Mumbai Police in 2015 regarding the murder of Sheena Bora, his stepdaughter. He claimed to be in Rome during the alleged murder. Later, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested him for his involvement in the conspiracy. Punit Goenka started his career as a trainee in Essel Group in 1993. His first task was selling amusement park packages to schools in Virar, Mumbai. He worked briefly as an assistant at Essel Packaging and later as an executive assistant to his father, Subhash Chandra. Then, he worked at Zee Music Records before becoming Vice President of Coordination and Operations at ASC Enterprises Limited (ASCEL) in December 1997. INX Media Trouble

In 2007, Indrani Mukerjea, the chairman of INX News, disputed with the CEO of the firm Vir Sanghvi over control, leading to Sanghvi’s resignation in January 2008. Mukerjea then fired five NewsX journalists, which led to further resignations and complaints to government officials about INX Media’s funding.
